Humid summers grow mildew where you are not looking
Summer humidity keeps bathrooms and utility rooms damp long after anyone has used them. Mildew starts in grout lines, along shower silicone, under sink cabinets and behind toilets — places a quick clean never reaches. Left alone it stains permanently and starts to smell. Treating it early is far cheaper than regrouting later, which is why our bathroom checklist goes past the visible surfaces and why homes on recurring service rarely develop the problem at all.
